“Been taking my cocker spaniel to Sophia for a long time. She does a fantastic job, always tailors his groom depending on how matted he is and he leaves looking immaculate. It's a weight off to know he's with someone who takes such good care of him.”
“Prior to going to Sophia our dog, Barry, was extremely nervous of being groomed however Sophia has worked her magic! She is always so calm with him and takes her time to make sure Barry is relaxed and has the best haircut.”
“She's really gentle and patient with my cat which makes a big difference as he's usually not a fan of being groomed. You can tell she truly cares and has such a calming, kind presence. My cat comes back looking lovely and much more comfortable.”
“Our dog Stella loves being groomed at Phia and Paw. Sophia has a real love for dogs, and they love her just as much in return. … Stella always comes back happy, relaxed, and beautifully groomed.”
“She looks after and gives a beautiful groom to my little cockapoo Ruby. She is a nervous dog at times and Sophia puts her at ease and Ruby looks forward to going regularly.”
“Sophia was so lovely, met Monte, and asked what we wanted. A while later we picked up the most gorgeously groomed doggy, and her price was so reasonable.”

No, it is very common and the groom is tailored to how matted the coat is on the day. Bring your dog in and we will talk through the best approach.
Nervous dogs are a big part of what we do here. Sophia takes her time, keeps things calm and lets the dog settle before working on them.
We work at the animal's pace rather than pushing through. Tell us what your pet finds difficult when you book and we will plan around it.
